LONG NECK VILLAGE TOUR

TOUR DESCRIPTION. Touring the tribal villages of the “giraffe women” is a definite must, as well as being a folkloric event for those who visit the north of Thailand.  The tour uses Chiang Mai as a base however it can also start from Chiang Rai and lasts an entire day. During this trip, you will also visit Mae Hong Son and Ta Thon and see their natural beauty. There is a pause between sights to visit the cave of Chang Dao with its stalagmites and stalactites and lunch is provided in a typical restaurant.

The “giraffe women” have taken their name due to their elongated necks. This is because of the many rings that are placed around girls’ necks from an early age to respect their tribal traditions.

12:00 Lunch in Fang

13:00 Visit five tribal villages of the Giraffe Women

18:00 Return to the hotel in Chiang Mai

Tour Transport.

We only employ safe and careful drivers and use the most modern and comfortable air conditioned minivan and coach. We will provide transport dependent on your group size as follows.

Group size 1-9 persons: modern minibus with air-conditioner 9 passenger seat format or modern and confortable pick up with air-conditioner (only for groups of 1-4 people).

Group size 10-13 persons: modern minibus with air-conditioner- 13 passenger seat format.

Group size 13+ persons: we can either use multiple minibuses or a full sized passenger coach in a 24, 32 or 40 seat format.

Guides.

A Tourist Authority of Thailand licensed and English, Chinese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese, Thai or Italian speaking guide will be provided. We provide separate drivers and your guide will not be driving the vehicle.
