TOUR THAILAND CLASSIC

TOUR PROGRAM.

Day 1: Bangkok – Bang Pa In – Ayuthaya.

Depart for Bang Pa In, arrival and visit to the famous summer residence of the royal family. After the visit departure to Ayuthaya and visit the temple Wat Chai Wattanaram, placed on the banks of the Chao Praya River and built during the seventeenth century Khmer style. Lunch at local restaurant in the course of travel.

After lunch, visit to Sri Samphet, the temple of the ancient Royal Palace that consists of three giant pagodas and subsequently the adjoining Wat Mongkhon Bophit, inside which there is a statue of Buddha in a sitting position of gigantic size.

Continue to Phitsanuloke, a town in central-north of the country, arrival and accommodation at the hotel. Possibility an optional tour of the city. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Lampang

Breakfast and departure to visit the temple of Wat Mahathat, inside which is a statue of the Buddha Chinnarat, one of the most revered in the country. Continue to the nearby city of Sukhothai where once was located the first city capital of Siam, and where the culture, language and nation of the ideal of the Siamese people had their origin. Arrival and visit to the vast Historical Park, within which lie the ruins of several temples including Wat Mahathat, the imposing temple of the Royal Palace, Wat Sa Sri and Wat Sri Sawai, existing in the kingdom of Sukhothai and initially dedicated Hindu worship. Outside the walls of the Historical Park visit Mondop Sri Chum, inside which lurks one of the most majestic and gigantic statues of the Buddha height of 15 meters. Lunch at a restaurant in the course of travel and departure to Lampang, arrival and visit to Wat Phra at Lampang Luang, the temple town most important part of the city. Continue north to enter the territory of the ancient Kingdom of Lanna. Arrive in Chiang Mai, the “Rose of the North”, hotel accommodation. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Chiang Mai

Breakfast and the beginning of the visits: the temple Wat Doi Suthep Phrathat, known to Westerners as the “temple on the hill ‘and built up to over 1000 meters of altitude on the mountain overlooking the entire city.’ The history of the Doi Suthep  is tied to the legend of a mythical white elephant. Lunch at local restaurant and then visit the village of Bo Sang and San Kampheng, rich in color and tradition. Here local craftsmen with skillful hands produce silverware, lacquer ware, ceramics, silks and colorful paper umbrellas. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight. Possibility ‘Kantoke dinner (extra) with traditional dances in traditional costumes of the North.

Day 4: Mae Sa – Chang Dao – Thaton – Chiang Rai

Breakfast and departure to visit the exotic province of Chiang Rai with a stop at the Mae Sa Orchid Farm in Mae Rim Valley. At the end of the visit, following a mountain path you will come to the location of Chang Dao where there is a field of elephants. Participating in a demonstrative show of elephants at work in the jungle and time at leisure for optional tour in the jungle on the elephant or memorable bamboo rafting on the river, on small rafts. Continue to the location of Thaton, near the Burmese border, lies on the river Maekok. Lunch in a restaurant on the banks of the river and out over the high mountains that dominate the town where you can ‘see a wonderful view on Burma and the valley of the river. It will reach ‘the village of Losh, shelter and preservation of culture and traditions of the tribal people of the mountain, short-cultural representation of the Akha ethnic groups.

Stop at some tribal villages of the mountain where there will be an ethnic Karen Daeng ‘, visit the tribes’ of “Long Neck Women”

Padong (optional visit). Arrival in Chiang Rai and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 5: Golden Triangle – Mae Sai – Chiang Saen – Bangkok

Breakfast and departure for Mae Sai, the city that marks the highest point of Northern Thailand is known for its rich market where goods converge from Burma and China. After the visit drive to the nearby Golden Triangle that represents the geographical border between Thailand, Laos and Burma. Visit the tribal settlements, local markets and the famous museum of opium. Chance to make a motor launch cruise on board the typical local “long tail” boat along the Mekong River to a village in Laotian territory (Sao Don), on the opposite bank of the river. Stop at a tribal village of Yao ethnic group and lunch in the course of travel. Continue to Chiang Rai airport transfer. Flight one way Chiang Rai – Bangkok.
